The visionary behind it all is Greg Habstritt who has a vision about bringing together three things that until now have remained in their own separate fields, People, Planet and Profit.
Greg is the original creator of the Simple Wealth Program where he shares his discovery that transformational mindset psycholgy, or changing the way we think about ourselves and our world, is at the root of the new change
He believes that at this stage of our evolutionary development on the planet, that something is changing, a shift is occurring, from a focus on the individual to a focus on heart and the value that we are creating for the world.
I like the idea of bringing back a focus on community, asking ourselves:
"How do I add value in a way that creates a fulfilling life for myself and makes a difference to others?"
It makes a change from the old ‘dog eats dog’ kind of attitude, or ‘what’s in it for me?’ kind of approach. It seems like the business world is catching up with the new ‘compassionate’ paradigm that has already started to effect global change at ground level.
Engage Today has become the starting point for this movement for those who are passionate about wanting to align their goals, desires and passions with a genuine heartfelt contribtion towards the world, adding value to other people’s lives.

This is one of the reasons why the Dalai Llama was invited to speak to the business community. He is famous for his emphasis on compassion and peace. It will be good to see if he can help to effect some change in the world at this level. In the end it is down to each and every one of us
A lot of excitement is being generated around this event and people like Alex Mandossian are defining it as the event of the decade. he says it points the way towards the future, out of the turbulence of focusing on simply creating wealth as an individual in isolation from others.
I guess the massive growth of social media lately gives us some clue as to the momentum of this movement that has already started, this need to connect and to be a part of a community.
The motto of this event is:
"Engaging community, Changing the world"
It is claimed that we need to move into the awareness that we are part of a bigger whole. It is ok to make money but what they are saying is that it is also about making a difference.
Many of the Engage Today Event speakers are wanting to be part of this movement that they see is starting to gather momentum. Their claim is that it is the starting point of a process that involves dealing with one another from a place of authenticity and integrity and value. Sounds too good to be true almost, but I guess in the end it is down to us and these guys just want to make us aware of it
